The team were called to a walker with a knee injury (m,17) in Crummack Dale. The team mobilised, but were quickly stood down whilst en route, as the casualty’s companions informed North Yorkshire Police that they had assisted the injured male off the fell, and would transport him to hospital
A caver (m) was reported overdue by his wife, having been expected home before nightfall. Whilst enquiries were being made, and Cumbria Police were talking again to the caller, the caver returned home.
