The team were called out by North Yorkshire Police (NYP) to assist a walker (M, 35) who had slipped and fallen whilst descending from Whernside on the 3 Peaks Path. He had sustained a painful ankle injury and was unable to continue. The team were quickly mobilised to the site and after assessment of the injury and pain relief, the walker was splinted and stretchered back down the hill to a waiting YAS ambulance.
