A walker (m, 51) slipped at the beginning of the ascent up the Swine Tail, sustaining a deformed ankle fracture. CRO 4 (Honda Pioneer) was driven up onto Little Ingleborough carrying three team members. They continued on foot to the casualty site above the hand-gate leading to Humphrey Bottom, meeting the Air Ambulance crew who had already arrived and begun assessing  and treating the injured walker. CROs 2 and 3 (Land Rovers) carried more members to Nick Pot, but as they were still a 2 km walk from the casualty site, went no further. Members of the advance party joined the YAA crew in carrying the walker, by stretcher, about 150 m to the aircraft which flew the patient to hospital.. All team members returned to CRO Base in Clapham.
