The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to a report of a walker (m) who was found having a medical episode by a passing cyclist on the path across Kirkby Fell. Team members were able to drive CROs 2 and 3 along a track to within a few hundred metres of the casualty and, after an assessment by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance doctor, stretchered the casualty to CRO 3 for transport back across the fell to a waiting road ambulance.
