A walker (f, 23) sustained an ankle injury on rough and boggy terrain, so that she was unable to put weight on her injured leg. A companion rang the Police for help and CRO team members responded. After assessment by a team doctor, the patient was stretchered to the road-head and transferred to a friend’s car for the journey to hospital.
