The Team received a call from one of our members at the Red Rose CPC hostel, at Bull Pot Farm, that a party of 8 cavers (2m and 6f, 20-29) on the ‘Easegill Traverse’ caving trip between Lancaster Hole and Wretched Rabbit were overdue. We were subsequently called by the
A caller, living over 200 miles away, where there had been heavy rain and flooding, was unable to phone his son (35) who had intended exploring Bull Pot of the Witches. He therefore contacted Cumbria Police, concerned about his son’s safety, some three hours earlier than their agreed ‘call-out time’.
