Four cavers (all m, early twenties) were reported overdue on a trip into Sell Gill Holes. Team members were put on stand-by while the duty controller made enquiries, but the reporting person soon told him that two of the party were out of the hole, the other two were de-tackling

A Three Peaks walker (m, 28) was reported overdue/missing, seven hours after last being seen on Pen y ghent. He had been walking too slowly for his companion who had continued on ahead without him, trying to catch up with the fastest two out of their original group of four.

Two cavers were reported to be ‘trapped’, two hours after entering Roaring Hole, near Southerscales, Ingleton.  Ten minutes later they were reported to be on the surface and walking back down to Chapel le Dale, so no further action was required. Volunteer hours: 0.2  

A caller was concerned when two walkers didn’t return at the scheduled time from attempting the 3 Yorkshire Peaks walk. The last contact with the walkers said they were ‘lost’ and at least 2 hours from their car. Initial attempts to locate the walkers using the ‘Phonefind’ facility did not
