    INCIDENT 65/2023 AUG. 7th MON. 11.39 FIELD Nr SELSIDE, HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – LOCAL INCIDENT

    A local man (78) collapsed while walking in fields near Selside with members of his family.  Sadly, despite the prolonged efforts of paramedics from two road ambulances and an air ambulance, he could not be revived. Team members recovered him, by stretcher, to a road ambulance.

    A caller gave North Yorkshire Police the number of a walker (m) described as ‘stuck’ with two children, aged 6 and 9. The caller had left them on Pen y ghent and had since had no contact. They were to complete Pen y ghent and then go on to Ingleborough.
