    ALERT ONLY. (same day). 20.26 hrs INGLEBOROUGH, NORTH YORKSHIRE. ALERT No 14 OF 2025

    While incident number 80 was still in progress, North Yorkshire Police forwarded a report that two Three Peaks walkers had not returned to Horton in Ribblesdale, having last been heard from on the summit of Whernside at about 13.00. Neither walkers’ mobile phone were answered, nor was there any response

    INCIDENT 80/2025. (same day) 18.17 hrs PEN Y GHENT, HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

    A Three Peaks walker (f,  41) collapsed  near ‘the fingerpost’ at the corner leading on to ‘the miners’ track’ to the summit of Pen y ghent (Taking the clockwise route.). Team members, most of whom had just returned from the previous incident, were taken to the top of Horton Scar

    INCIDENT 79/2025. SEPTEMBER 20th SAT. 13.38 hrs WHERNSIDE, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

    A Three Peaks walker (m, 31), with a pre-existing medical condition, had a series of dizzy spells before apparently fainting, then going in and out of consciousness, ‘three quarters of the way up Whernside’ (although the initial grid reference suggested Gayle Moor, near Newby Head).  Another walker provided a shelter

    INCIDENT 78/2025. SEPTEMBER 19th FRI. 18.57 hrs TOP of MALHAM COVE, MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

    An expeditioner (f, 15) slipped on the seriously slippery limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove, twisting a knee and dislocating the kneecap. After assessment and pain relief, a team paramedic reduced the dislocation, thus easing the pain, before the casualty was helped into an insulated bag and lifted
