A walker (f) slipped while climbing a stile, fracturing her neck of femur. CRO members assisted the ambulance crew by carrying her to a CRO vehicle, for transfer to a road ambulance. Volunteer hours 23.
The team were contacted by North Yorkshire Police regarding a 3 peaks walker (m,16) who had fallen ‘approximately 5 feet’ and sustained an injury to his arm. The other members of the party provided the casualty with analgesia and physical support in order to effect a self rescue. CRO deployed
The team were called by both North Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a walker (f,52) who had fallen on the path up Gragareth sustaining an injury to her ankle. As the team were on route we heard from our colleagues at Yorkshire Air Ambulance that they had landed
The team responded to a request from North Yorkshire Police to assist with a dog that had slipped 8 metres down a slope and was stuck on a ledge a few metres above the river. On arrival the team set up a twin rope system and lowered a team member
