A walker (f) slipped while climbing a stile, fracturing her neck of femur. CRO members assisted the ambulance crew by carrying her to a CRO vehicle, for transfer to a road ambulance. Volunteer hours 23.
A group of Three Peaks walkers called North Yorkshire Police when one of the group (m, 33) went missing between Whernside summit and Philpin Lane after experiencing some difficulties. A team vehicle checked Philpin Lane up to the Hill Inn but failed to locate the missing walker. CRO team members,
A Three Peaks walker (f, 52) experienced severe pain in her left leg while descending the rocky path from Whernside summit, eventually becoming unable to continue. Her party called North Yorkshire Police, who asked CRO to attend. Team members ascended to the casualty’s location where a team doctor assessed her.
