A group of Three Peaks walkers called North Yorkshire Police when one of the group (m, 33) went missing between Whernside summit and Philpin Lane after experiencing some difficulties. A team vehicle checked Philpin Lane up to the Hill Inn but failed to locate the missing walker. CRO team members,

A Three Peaks walker (f, 52) experienced severe pain in her left leg while descending the rocky path from Whernside summit, eventually becoming unable to continue.
