A walker (f) slipped while climbing a stile, fracturing her neck of femur. CRO members assisted the ambulance crew by carrying her to a CRO vehicle, for transfer to a road ambulance. Volunteer hours 23.
A pot-holer reported that a sheep had fallen down Fluted Hole and appeared uninjured, but was too heavy for him to rescue, alone. A small team went up onto Newby Moss, extricating the sheep from 18m down and releasing it onto the fell. Volunteer hours: 8
Two Three Peaks walkers (both f, 25) reported themselves lost and benighted, while descending from Ingleborough to Horton in Ribblesdale. CRO members soon found them and escorted them down to Horton. Moonlight and their single small light had been inadequate for them to find their way. Volunteer hours: 20
During incident no 36, a caver (m 60) suffered from chest pains whilst at the foot of Gaping Gill where he was helping to manage winch descents of the cave. He rode to the surface in the winch chair where his condition was assessed and stabilized by a Bradford Pothole
CRO were called to support Bradford Pothole Club (BPC) with the rescue of a young person from Sand Cavern in Gaping Gill. The casualty had descended into the main chamber of Gaping Gill via the BPC winch and was exploring further cave passages with his father when he fell and injured
