A climber (m,57) fell approximately 10 metres, sustaining shoulder and head injuries, whilst climbing at Robin Proctor’s Scar, Austwick. Team members assisted a Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedic in accessing the casualty, and packaged him for a lower by stretcher down the scree slope below the climb, to a waiting team
Just as team members were clearing away after the Ingleton Gala, a call was received to two walkers (m,f) lost ‘somewhere on Ingleborough’. The Duty Controller was able to speak directly with the walkers via mobile phone, and sent a ‘SARLoc’ message, which gave us their location on our mapping
