The team were called by north Yorkshire Police to assist with a walker (F 60) who had slipped off a stile sustaining a lower leg injury. Team members assessed and splinted the leg then carried her a short distance to the road. She was then taken in a team vehicle
A member of the public reported a sheep stuck on a ledge in a disused quarry near Ingleton. The team gave the sheep an opportunity to self-rescue. When it did not do so, team members attended and, having discussed the situation with the farmer, set up a rope rescue system.
North Yorkshire Police asked the team for assistance with a search for a potentially vulnerable person. While the Duty Controller was still waiting for tasking instructions, North Yorkshire Police advised that the team’s assistance was no longer required. Volunteer hours: 2
