A walker (m85) heading towards Austwick on the track from Feizor collapsed due to a suspected cardiac arrest. Despite the best efforts of the walker’s companion, Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and CRO, all attempts to revive the walker were sadly unsuccessful.

Mike Meredith, 79, an enthusiastic caver and former Controller with the Cave Rescue Organisation was found dead at his house in Kuching, Sarawak, on the morning of Wednesday 11th January 2023.
