The team were called to a walker with a knee injury (m,17) in Crummack Dale. The team mobilised, but were quickly stood down whilst en route, as the casualty’s companions informed North Yorkshire Police that they had assisted the injured male off the fell, and would transport him to hospital
A caver (m) was reported overdue by his wife, having been expected home before nightfall. Whilst enquiries were being made, and Cumbria Police were talking again to the caller, the caver returned home. North Yorkshire Police requested assistance in recovering a deceased casualty (m,20) from the foot of Malham Cove. He was carried to a team Land Rover for transport down to the village. A small-scale search at the top of the Cove produced his possessions which were handed over to the Police.
