A well-intentioned walker expressed the concern of several visitors that an ‘elderly’ couple were struggling on the return leg of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and believed that one of the pair may have had a fall, already. When the CRO duty controller asked team members to show their availability for a local search, one gave a description of two people he had seen returning to their car and driving away. The description was sufficient to cause the controller to stand the team down, without further investigation.
