A visitor reported that her husband (67), a keen fell-runner but un-familiar with the area, had gone for a run up Ingleborough and not returned to Chapel le dale over an hour after the arranged time of 16.00 hrs.. When the duty controller tried to call the reporting person, the call went to Voicemail. Having left a request that she phone back, he then phoned NYP’s Force Control Room for any further information. They said that the reporting person had just told them that others had seen him making his way down safely. No further action was required and the incident log was closed.
