A Three Peaks ‘charity walker’, last seen at 07.30 and heard from while ‘descending Whernside’ at 17.20, was reported missing by someone waiting with transport at Horton car park. A telephone call and a PhoneFind text were not answered, so two team members would set out to do a preliminary check along the road route. At this point, NYP telephoned to say that the misper had caught a train home. Team members stood down.
