Cumbria Police asked CRO to assist a scrambler (f, 46) who had slipped in Barbondale Gorge, injuring her right lower leg. Team members accessed the casualty who was at an awkward location in the gorge, assessed her, administered pain relief, and splinted her leg. They then placed her on a Bell stretcher, hauled her out of the gorge, and transported her down to the road where she was handed over to our colleagues from NWAS.
