A walker (f, 54) slipped and heard a loud crack from her ankle while walking the return path of the Waterfalls Trail through the Baxengill Gorge, Ingleton. Her husband reported the suspected ankle fracture to North Yorkshire Police, who called CRO. Having assessed the injury, team members gave pain relief, splinted the injured leg then carried the casualty on a wheeled stretcher to the team Land Rover. This took casualty and husband back to the Trail car park so they could drive to hospital for treatment.
