CRO were called to assist a walker who had reported himself stranded in high winds on Whernside. Further investigation by CRO team leaders and use of a computer based “phone find” tool placed the walker on Great Whernside, near Kettlewell and not on the “3-peaks” Whernside within CRO’s operational area. The incident was handed over to our neighbours, Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA), who brought the situation to a successful outcome.
