The team were requested to assist by Yorkshire Ambulance Service when a walker (m,72) fell and sustained a head injury near Janet’s Foss. The team were mobilised by the duty controller, but as the first vehicle arrived at Malham Visitor Centre (our local RV point), we were stood down by YAS, as they had been able to walk the casualty with assistance to the road ambulance. As team members were mobilised and on route or in attendance, even though no action was taken, we still record this as a callout.
