A walker (m 38) slipped on ice and injured his right ankle whilst descending from Ingleborough summit. CRO were able to pinpoint the exact location of the incident by sending a text message, enabling the informant at the scene to share their mobile phone location with our computer based mapping system. The injured walker was cared for by CRO team members, carried down the hill in a stretcher and transported further by a CRO vehicle for eventual transfer to Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
