What we do
The CRO is one of 72 mountain rescue teams in the UK but one of only 4 that operates both above and below ground. We provide mountain and fell rescue services in the Three Peaks area of the Yorkshire Dales and cave rescues in the labyrinthine limestone caves beneath. We also have specialist swift water rescue and search dog capabilities and conduct animal rescues as well.
We are one of the busiest teams in the country with around 90 call-outs per year.
